be considered. Provide expert nursing care in a stepdown unit
within a hospital setting, delivering patient-centered clinical
support consistent with professional standards. This contract
position in Chapel Hill, NC, requires a dedicated registered nurse
skilled in managing patients with complex conditions and
coordinating multidisciplinary care. Reporting to the Nurse Manager
or Director, you will play a vital role in patient assessment,
education, and ensuring continuity of care. Key Responsibilities:
Deliver competent nursing care using the nursing process tailored
to patient needs Assess patient readiness to learn and utilize
educational materials effectively Collaborate with
interdisciplinary teams to evaluate and revise care plans Perform
bedside point-of-care testing as part of patient care Prioritize
and organize care based on patient and family needs Identify
discharge needs and facilitate effective transitions from hospital
to home Participate in professional development and unit
performance improvement initiatives Promote a safe, clean, and
secure environment for patients and staff Stay informed on
healthcare policies, standards, and research relevant to practice
