life insurance Duties and Responsibilities Supervise, direct, and
evaluate subordinates. Provide or arrange for their training as
necessary to meet job requirements and regulatory standards. Ensure
that subordinates monitor individual group’s dorms at prescribed
intervals. Conduct “spot checks” of dorms at frequent, irregular
intervals. Ensure that subordinates document each observation of
each youth as it occurs, and maintain independent documentation of
security of overall premises. Notify the Facility Director or
on-call management team member immediately of anything out of the
ordinary, and carry out all instructions given by the on-call
manager. Assist direct care staff in containing and/or resolving
behavior management issues affecting the safety and security of
youth or staff. Ensure radio communications are maintained at all
times. Provide periodic relief or “break” coverage for
subordinates. Does camp laundry and other cleaning functions, to
include: Clean office areas including ladies’ and men's rest rooms.
Replenish with tissue, toweling and soap as necessary.
Qualifications 2 years of college in a social or human service
field or a high school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of two
years’ prior experience working with youth is required. Bachelor’s
degree, from an accredited College or University, in social or
behavioral services or outdoor recreation specialties preferred.
Must be 21 years of age or older per DJJ requirements. Experience
with an at-risk youth population and one year of supervisory
experience is required. Must be able to stay awake throughout the
night. Must be able to document surveillance activities and unsafe
conditions, and perform frequent checks without being predictable.
Must be able, with appropriate training, to provide CPR and first
aid. Must be able to meet requirements for Eckerd’s Auto Insurance
and be able to drive for business purposes. Prolonged periods of
standing and walking considerable distances. Must be free of
communicable diseases as defined by the appropriate state and to
the extent that data is attainable under federal law. Required to
pass a drug screen in compliance with our Substance Abuse and

so classified. About our Residential Academy: Eckerd Connects'
Short-Term Juvenile Justice Residential program is a complete
rehabilitative experience delivered in 4 to 6 months to 40
adjudicated male youth, ages 13 to 17, referred by the North
Carolina Department of Public Safety Division of Juvenile Justice.
This residential treatment concept combines promising and
evidence-based practices with a strong family transition component
and signifies a public-private partnership with the Division of
Juvenile Justice which has produced an innovative shift in the way
youth are served in North Carolina's juvenile justice system.
Intensive, short-term services include individualized treatment and
academic plans that combine formal and experiential education,
community service, behavioral health, and family counseling in a
non-punitive environment designed to address the youth's behavioral
challenges through a strength-based approach. Youth also receive
accredited education on-site and work together in small group
