This is an exciting opportunity in Rocky Mount, North Carolina for a Machining Training Coordinator. Cummins USA is where you can work on industry leading engineering projects. Your impact will happen in these and other ways: Coordinates and facilitates general and specific training programs. Assists with the planning, design, delivery, and implementation of training programs. Works with vendors and educational organizations to develop and deliver training programs. Responsible for developing and delivering training for all machine operators Responsible for supporting continuous improvement projects in teams and implementing effectiveness measures and control plans Responsible for operator certification program, including documentation, preparation, tracking and follow-up of certification records Responsible for recertification of operators and refresher training of operators where needed Analyze and assist with training effectiveness, select training packages and suggest improvement recommendations based on business needs Develop instructional materials as required Support audits as needed Good understanding of machine operation, equipment and processes Knowledge of continuous improvement and problem-solving tools: for example Kaizen, 7-Step problem-solving, root cause analysis and 6 Sigma Knowledge and understanding of evaluating measurement reports, hand gauges, bench gauges and in-line gauges Qualifications High School Diploma, GED or other equivalent One year of relevant experience Ability to train in a classroom or line-side environment Familiar with manufacturing processes, equipment and fail-safe methods Good understanding and experience with computer applications and Microsoft Suite software Performance Skills: Team Work: Able to share credit with co-workers; display enthusiasm and promote an effective working environment; work closely with other teams as necessary; support group decisions and solicit opinions from co-workers; display team spirit.
