The Sr. HVAC Engineer will have responsibility for maintaining and
improving HVAC systems at the site. This person will analyze
existing HVAC systems for compliance, reliability and efficiency
improvement needs and subsequently implement improvements in
testing/qualification, maintenance practices and procedures. A
primary role of this engineer will be managing a team of
technicians for maintenance and on-going testing and qualification
of the sites clean room air handling and HEPA filtration systems.
This engineer will be responsible for recommending HVAC capital
improvements and upgrades as well as coordinating engineering,
validation, manufacturing and quality teams to assure upgrades are
appropriately planned, budgeted and implemented. Key goals for this
engineer will be improving robustness and reliability of critical
air handling systems.
The ideal candidate will have a thorough knowledge and experience
in design, maintenance and qualification of industrial heating and
air conditioning systems in pharmaceutical manufacturing clean
rooms. Excellent supervisory skills and the ability to effectively
manage work in a dynamic environment are required. The position
will support manufacturing operations in troubleshooting and
resolving issues, implementing effective corrective and preventive
actions and minimizing HVAC related operational issues. This
position will identify and achieve cost and energy reduction goals
through engineering projects. This position will also support
development of long range plans for site infrastructure and system
- Manages testing/qualification and maintenance of the sites
clean room HVAC systems and HEPA filters.
- Develop, update and implement SOPs (Standard Operating
Procedures), PM (Preventative Maintenance) procedures and work
practices for improved reliability and compliance of site HVAC
- Provide hands-on leadership in troubleshooting HVAC issues to
root cause, determination of impact and in implementing effective
CAPAs (Corrective Action Preventative Action) to improve
reliability of HVAC systems.
- Recommend and implement capital projects and upgrades to
improve robustness of HVAC systems.
- Hands-on review, tracking and oversight of HVAC related PM work
orders and activities to assure proper documentation, accuracy and
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, process or related
engineering discipline is required.
- Minimum five (5) years' experience in industrial heating and
air conditioning design and maintenance is required.
- Knowledgeable in the requirements and execution of HEPA filter
- Understanding of capabilities and ability to utilize a Building
- Experience working in a manufacturing site that utilizes air
handling units to control manufacturing environments.
- Ability to generate effective reports and presentations
utilizing standard MS tools such as Project, PowerPoint, Excel &
Word is required.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to
effectively communicate at all levels within the organization is an

room HVAC systems is preferred.
- Experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment or GMP
regulated field is preferred.
- Experience in designing and implementing PLC or DCS and HMI
systems is preferred.
