MUST HAVE CNC MACHINE OPERATING EXPERIENCE TO APPLY

Reads and interprets part prints and/or manufacturing manuals and/or verbal/written instructions to plan machine set up, correct adjustments, and selection of tools.

• Establishes dimensional reference on work-s contours and interrelated dimensions, calculates material allowances, angles, thread leads, etc.
  
• Correctly downloads programmed information to CNC machine. Skillfully operates CNC lathes and/or milling machines to machine parts to prescribed specifications.
  
• Inspects and verifies conformance of parts at the beginning of an operation (test 1st part) and the end of machining process to specifications/tolerances using a variety of precision measuring and gaging instruments.
  
• Insure all machine set ups and shut downs are in line with prescribed safety procedures. This includes all necessary Lockout/Tagout procedures when needed.
  
• Strictly follows all job safety requirements/procedures which include machine guarding, forklift truck and hoist operation and housekeeping requirements.
  
• Addresses and resolve problems arising from programmed language.
  
• Acts as a technical resource for other employees or other plant departments to address and resolve inquiries.
  
• Understands and selects correct material from raw material inventory for each job order. May be required to cut raw material from larger piece of necessary raw material.
  
• Performs additional duties and assignments as directed by management which includes cross-functional job duties in other Warehouse assignments e.g. receiving, parcel & LTL shipping, etc.
  
• Fills in/operates any CNC machine when necessary
