Dermatology Nurse Practitioner (NP)
New graduates are accepted (RN experience in Dermatology required)

Location: Jacksonville, NC
Job Type: Full-Time
Setting: Outpatient Clinic
Schedule: Monday to Friday- 40 hours/week

Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) with experience in medical dermatology to join a growing rural dermatology practice. This role focuses on delivering high-quality, evidence-based dermatologic care while building meaningful patient relationships and improving access to dermatology services in underserved communities.

Responsibilities:

• Perform dermatologic evaluations and full-body skin exams
• Diagnose and treat common and chronic skin conditions
• Identify and manage precancerous and cancerous lesions
• Perform dermatologic procedures, including biopsies, cryotherapy, and lesion removal
• Develop treatment plans and prescribe medications
• Educate patients on skin health and treatment plans
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation and ensure HIPAA compliance
• Collaborate with supervising physicians and clinical staff
• Participate in ongoing dermatology-focused education and training

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited NP program
• Active North Carolina NP license
• New graduates are accepted (must have prior RN experience in Dermatology minimum 4 to 5 years)
• National certification (AANP/ANCC for NP)
• Minimum 1 year of dermatology experience (medical dermatology preferred)
• Strong diagnostic reasoning and procedural skills
• Excellent communication and patient education abilities
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Dermatology certification (DCNP or equivalent) or willingness to pursue certification
• Experience performing dermatologic procedures
• Familiarity with dermatoscopy and EMR systems
• Interest in rural healthcare and long-term patient relationships
