Job Description Board-eligible or board-certified Med-Peds or Internal Medicine nocturnist position at a community hospital in eastern North Carolina Experienced providers only, joining an established, high-quality hospitalist program Employed by a large regional physician group Hospitalist team includes 6 physicians and 1 advanced practice provider Schedule options: three 14-hour shifts per week or six 14-hour shifts every other week Average nightly admissions for the hospitalist service: approximately 6 Care for patients in a 9-bed open ICU with tele-intensivist support from a tertiary medical center ICU responsibilities include ventilator management, lumbar puncture, and central line placement Fully integrated EPIC electronic health record Broad specialty support, including general surgery, cardiology, otolaryngology, orthopedics, obstetrics and gynecology, gastroenterology, nephrology, ophthalmology, sleep medicine, speech therapy, and physical therapy Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package, including annual administrative stipend, relocation assistance, vacation, malpractice coverage with tail, 401(k) matching and 457(b), medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance Additional options may include loan repayment, sign-on bonus, income guarantees, and residency/fellowship commitment stipends Located in an area with an affordable cost of living and an easy commute from a larger coastal city Close to the North Carolina coast and within reach of a major metropolitan area, offering access to beaches, outdoor recreation, and urban amenities
