Bon Secours Behavoiral Health NP OpportunityBehavioral Health Nurse Practitioner Bon Secours Emporia, Virginia Hospitals: Southern Virginia Regional Medical Center, Southside Medical Center The NP scope of practice incorporates the skills and knowledge from the disciplines of nursing andmedicine. Working in collaboration with a physician or a group of physicians, the NP provides timely caremanagement for specific patient populations, including admission, ongoing assessment, symptommanagement, ordering/performing specified diagnostic tests and procedures. Also, orders/performs specialtreatment (medication therapies, clinical treatments, consultation, etc. under the direction of a specificphysician or group of physicians within scope of practice following appropriate legislation. The NP providescomprehensive patient care using advanced assessment skills and a sound knowledge of clinicaltherapeutics and provides indirect patient care services to support patient care, promote professionaleducation, and advanced knowledge through research and scholarly activities.
