Job Description:

Develops, automates, and deploys code for the management of financial data workloads in private and public Cloud. Moves mission-critical workloads to Cloud databases from traditional on-premise database platforms. Operates to optimizes mature and stable Oracle PL/SQL and Informatica ETL workloads and to develop robust and reliable engineering solutions and Web services to expose data content through RESTful APIs for rapid application consumption, using Oracle, Informatica (ETL), Python, Java, Scala, Postman, Apigee, JSON, XML, and Cloud Technologies.

Primary Responsibilities:

Designs and develops data quality for Oracle Database, using EDQ, PL/SQL, Tableau, and Python.

Provides business solutions by developing complex/multiple analytical tools and software applications.

Utilizes data visualization dashboards (Tableau and Matplotlib).

Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.

Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in multiple platforms.

Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.

Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing.

Responsible for data automation and integration and post-installation validation of any problem. Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation.

Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project.

Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting several corporate initiatives

Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives.

Education and Experience:

Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience performing data analysis, automation, and regression of Web services in a financial services environment.

Or, alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or one (1) year of experience performing data analysis, automation, and regression of Web services in a financial services environment.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

Demonstrated Expertise (DE) designing and developing applications, using Python, Java, and Scala programming languages and ETL methodologies; performing PL/SQL development in Oracle, Teradata, Spotfire tool, and Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud; implementing UTPL testing and performance tuning; and performing real time data capture, using Informatica Change Data Capture and Oracle Golden Gate in an Agile environment.

DE designing architecture and solutions for operational data stores and enterprise data warehouses, using Oracle, MySQL, MongoDb, and PostgreSQL engines; performing data analysis and extraction within a data integration framework using Informatica Analyst and Developer; developing data ingestion and processing pipelines to extract data from structured and unstructured data sources -- JSON, CSV, XML, HTML, PDF, Plain Text, and xlsx -- using Python, Java, and Scala; designing and implementing NoSQL databases including MongoDB; storing, managing, and facilitating data objects access using data stores -- S3, Hadoop, Boto3, and FTP; and developing data analysis reports, using Python and Tableau.

DE performing PL/SQL development to implement Data as a Service (DAAS) framework within an Oracle environment using RESTful Web services; developing and implementing RESTful APIs using APIGEE; and building and deploying software applications, using Stash, AWS CodeCommit, Jenkins, and UDeploy to improve performance and automation.

DE designing and developing Lambda functions to migrate data from on-premise to Cloud, using s3 real time events, CloudFormation templates, Elastic Load Balancers (ELB) for EC2 clusters, Cloud watch schedules, and Simple Notification cloud services.
