ROLE SUMMARY

The Training Manager is responsible for managing the on-going training of all Rocky Mount employees. This position is responsible for the creation and continuous improvement of an effective training qualification program which integrates the ongoing development of all employees to perform their assigned responsibilities and to function successfully within all plant processes related to their jobs. This position is also responsible for co-ordination and documentation of all required regulatory training (e.g. by FDA, OSHA or DEA).

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Consult with department managers in the development and execution of ongoing training and development for all employees including the establishment and maintenance of training curriculum as well as performance of training.
  • Develop and train staff to ensure they possess the skills necessary to effectively support facility training/development needs.
  • Supervise Trainers in the actual training of all employees.
  • Develop systems and maintain training records and documentation to meet all regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and monitor training system metrics.
  • Identify training opportunities appropriate to a rapidly changing environment and incorporating appropriate development efforts into all plant processes.
  • Oversee the Training documentation, Support Team, and Visual Inspection training groups.
    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
    • Bachelor's degree with 5-7 years experience in the FDA regulated industry, or Master degree (preferably in training and/or education) with 3-5 years experience within the FDA regulated industry
      • Must be self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision to complete duties as required.
      • Effective people management/leadership skills.
      • Excellent organization skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
      • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization.Strong orientation toward customer service.
      • Proven technical writing skills, expertise with word-processing, spreadsheets, and a demonstrated proficiency in computerized systems.
      • Ability to thoroughly evaluate alternative training/development tools and systems to select the best possible options to meet the customer's needs.
      • Demonstrated critical thinking skills and ability to pay close attention to detail and accuracy.
      • Knowledge of GMP requirements and familiarity with standard operating procedures preferred
      • Analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills
      • Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment.
      • Must have excellent communication skills and proven ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
      • Must be self-motivated and willing to learn new and take on changing responsibilities
      • Demonstrated commitment to value based leadership and achieving objectives in a manner that is supportive of Pfizer Values and Core Competencies
        TECHNICAL SKILL REQUIREMENTS
        • High aptitude and proficiency with computerized systems required.
        • Skilled at creating tools and templates to help streamline processes and information exchange.
