Director of Central Business Office
Boice-Willis Clinic is a multi-specialty clinic and medical
practice nestled in charming Rocky Mount that provides quality
healthcare to the citizens of eastern North Carolina for over 100

Summary
The Director of Central Business Office is responsible for
directing and coordinating all aspects of an independent,
multi-specialty physician practices central business office. -The
areas of responsibility for this position include claims processing
and billing, government and commercial payer reimbursement and
contracting, patient collections, coding, and compliance. -The
Director of Central Business Office works in dyad partnership with
Director of Physician Practices to ensure healthy revenue cycle for
the practices.
Responsibilities
Analyze month-end physician billing, 3rd party reimbursement,
denials, collection, and coding data and workflows to identify
trends and efficiencies.
Develop and monitor revenue cycle key performance indicators
(KPI's) and implement processes to improve billing, claims and
collections workflows.
Maintain effective and productive working relationships with
billing companies and 3rd party payers to ensure the ability to
resolve claim payment and administrative issues occurring with
payer contracts.
Participate in evaluation and negotiation of Managed Care
contracts.
Review account aging on monthly basis, identify and report
inconsistencies, and correct errors as appropriate.
Develop and review detailed business office policies and
procedures, standard operating procedures, training, and workflow
documentation.
Communicate, train, and support all key stakeholders in revenue
cycle across all departments to ensure optimum performance and
profitability.
Maintain in-depth knowledge of governmental and commercial
insurance rules and regulations to ensure compliance as well as
optimal financial performance.
Ongoing training and coaching of all multi-departmental staff
within Boice-Willis Clinic, for optimum performance and
profitability.
Collaborate with Compliance Chair and participate on Compliance
Committee. -Must have a thorough knowledge of practice compliance
audits and reviews.
Collaborate with Clinic IT department and 3rd party vendors to
ensure maximum operability of practice management, claims
management and collection software and tools.
Develop and maintain collaborative partnership with team
members.
Manage credentialing applications for initial application and
reappointments.
Set department goals to reduce days in Accounts Receivable and
uncollectible accounts.
Qualifications
Education Requirements:
BS in Business or Healthcare Administration.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
RRA, ART, CCS, or CPC preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:
Thorough knowledge of Medical Terminology and HCPCS/CPT/ICD-10-CM
coding.
In depth knowledge, of business office and clinical operations with
seven years prior experience, and proven track record of
performance in Accounts Receivable Management.
Demonstrated ability to effectively produce a high quality of work
without supervision.
Thorough knowledge of practice management systems and can implement
new programs in department as needed.
Analytical ability to resolve and bring to closure Accounts
Receivable challenges in the workplace.
Personnel Management.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
