Job Description:
As a Data Center Controls Engineer at Amazon Web Services (AWS)
in North Carolina, you will play a critical role in ensuring the
operational integrity and efficiency of our state-of-the-art data
centers. Your technical expertise will directly contribute to AWS's
ability to deliver robust and reliable cloud computing services
globally. This position involves developing, implementing, and
maintaining automation systems and environmental controls critical
for the data center operations. You will work alongside a team of
dedicated professionals in a highly innovative and fast-paced
environment. Design, install, and troubleshoot control systems for
data center infrastructure. Develop and implement software
solutions for facility monitoring, environmental control, and
energy management. Coordinate with other engineering teams to
ensure system consistency and efficiency. Analyze system
performance data to predict potential failures and recommend
preventive measures. Manage projects from conception through
deployment, including documentation and compliance. Provide
technical guidance and training to other team members and
stakeholders. Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and
trends in data center automation and control systems. Proficiency
in PLC/SCADA systems Strong background in HVAC and electrical
systems Experience with Python or similar scripting languages
Knowledge of data center infrastructure management (DCIM) tools
Ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage projects
