What You Will Achieve

Working with Pfizer's dynamic reliability engineering team, you will play a critical part in managing the reliability engineering activities involving the predictive maintenance, preventive maintenance, work management, and performance metrics for the utilities systems, HVAC, and production equipment.

As a Sr. Reliability Engineer, you provide cross-functional guidance to operational and maintenance teams for ensuring that equipment assets perform as designed and operated. You will be setting priorities, forecasting and allocating resources needed to complete all preventive and corrective maintenance tasks as well as providing metrics and recommended predictive maintenance technologies for monitoring and maintaining equipment assets. Through your comprehensive knowledge of principles, concepts and theories of the discipline, you will also work towards advancing new concepts and methodologies.

How You Will Achieve It

  • Provide guidance, lead/co-lead projects, manage own time to meet objectives, and plan resource requirements for projects across the department.
  • Provide technical engineering oversight to develop project execution plans, and associated engineering studies for equipment component installation etc.
  • Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs), Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), safety procedures, quality standards, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards, other regulatory agency standards, and good maintenance practices.
  • Provide good judgment and innovation by utilizing and adapting a broad knowledge of engineering principles and practices acquired through progressive experience.
  • Scope, plan and execute multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Supervise one or more technical personnel.
  • Support investigations, participate and complete corrective actions/preventative actions (CAPA's) based on root cause analysis and remediate audit observation response items.
  • Support risk management initiatives to ensure organizational strategic objectives in the areas of asset capability, quality and production.
  • Monitor equipment trends in CMMS and other systems.
  • Conducts Root Cause Analysis (RCA) or Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA).
  • Perform Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
  • Evaluates effectiveness of Preventive Maintenance (PM), Predictive Maintenance (PdM), lubrication program and Condition based Maintenance (CbM) methods and technologies.
  • Provide guidance of Work Management principles: planning /scheduling process, workflow, and performance measurement
  • Provide guidance of Operator Care principles to the Operations department
    Qualifications

    Must-Have
    • Must have a High School Diploma (or Equivalent) and 10 years of relevant experience
    • OR an Associates degree with 8 years of experience
    • OR a Bachelors degree, engineering discipline, with at least 5 years of experience
    • OR Masters Degree with more than 3 years of experience
    • OR a PhD with 0+ years of experience.
    • Engineering knowledge in one or more of the following: Electrical, Mechanical, Automation, Statistics, Chemistry, Maintenance, Reliability and Quality.
    • Excellent written, communications and presentation skills.
    • Possess good analytical and computer skills.
    • Have a thorough understanding of cGMP's.
    • Able to perform mathematical calculation and have the ability to perform complex data analysis.
    • Demonstrated time management skills, ability to work on multiple projects at a time
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with stakeholders, plant partners, engineers and maintenance persons
    • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead and build teams across functions and levels in the organization
      Nice to Have
      • CMRP or equivalent certification.
      • Relevant pharmaceutical experience
      • Project Management experience
        PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

        must be able to lift, sit, stand, walk, and have the ability to perform complex data analysis.

        NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
        • Be self-directed, requiring only minimal management oversite and direction.
        • Normal work schedule is 5 days, 40 hours.
        • May required extended work hours as needed. (Project driven)
        • Travel may be required. (business or project need)
        • Promote and ensure safe work practices, procedures and regulations.
