Requirements

Review and compare equipment/system/componentry design specifications against site established) operating conditions (via Qualification and/or Commissioning) to ensure systems are being operated within design limitations. Design limitations to include assessment of safety conditions (i.e. pressure vessel conditions not exceeded) as well as pre-mature failure conditions of parts/components (failure of seals/diaphragms). Operating parameters will be compared with manufacturer recommendations to identify discrepancies. All findings will be reported in a standard format that this individual will develop. Reports on findings will be reviewed and approved by site engineering. Possible mitigations on discrepancies will also be identified.

Individual will be responsible for reviewing all design documents for the equipment/systems located with the R3 facility, to include the following:

  • Formulation Equipment (tanks, CIP skids, transfer panels, etc)
  • Filling equipment (washers, depyrogenation tunnels, isolators, fillers)
  • Support equipment (Stopper processing, Equipment Autoclaves, Parts Washers)

    Individual will be responsible for contacting the OEM/vendor when associated documentation is not available to determine design conditions. Individual will be responsible for engaging site resources to identify final operating parameters for the various systems and performing appropriate research to understanding operating conditions of the systems. Individual should have an understanding of Engineering principals associated with equipment design/build (valves, pumps, pressure rated tanks, etc---), equipment operating principles, HMI navigation, and Reliability/maintenance, as well as validation and commissioning processes for defining operating conditions.

    Vendor manuals are available on site and filed within the commissioning of associated systems. Person will be expected to complete work within standard working hours (M-F, 0800-1700 EST), unless access to systems requires off shift support. Person will be expected to receive training for area access to include clean room gowning and safety.

    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or other scientific discipline or Equivalent experience.
    • 3+ years of process engineering experience involving manufacturing equipment
    • Previous experience working in the Pharma industry.
    • Strongly motivated, well organized, and shows professional initiative.
    • Takes ownership of assignments, able to meet project deadlines and communicate effectively Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment effectively.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment. Excellent organization skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
