Job Description Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1 years Special Education Teacher experience required. A school district in South Carolina is seeking dedicated Special Education Teachers to support students across PreK through high school levels for the current school year (CSY) on a contract basis. These roles provide an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the education and development of students with diverse learning needs. Location: Bennettsville and Marlboro County, SC Grade Levels: PreK, High School Employment Type: Contract, Full-Time (37.5 hours/week) Setting: Onsite only, no virtual or remote options Key Responsibilities: Manage a PreK self-contained classroom for 3-4-year-old students, delivering tailored instruction and support based on individual education plans Serve as a high school special education resource teacher supporting a caseload of approximately 22-25 students Potentially lead a self-contained high school classroom with an estimated 10 students, with a likelihood of increased need in this area Attend to physical demands of the classroom environment, including lifting and assisting students as necessary Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective educational strategies and accommodations Qualifications and Desired Experience: Active South Carolina teaching license with valid Multi-Category (Multi-Cat) and Early Childhood Special Education endorsements Prior experience working with special education students in self-contained and resource settings preferred Strong communication skills and the ability to manage diverse student needs effectively Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment This position is ideally suited for educators passionate about special education, looking to contribute in both early childhood and high school settings.
