Job Description Job Description PRIMARY FUNCTION: The Pipe Foreman will manage pipe a crew as they assemble, layout, install and maintain pipe systems on an industrial new construction. TYPICAL DUTIES: Read blueprints and specifications to determine the scope of work: locations, quantities, and sizes of materials required Manage crew processes, scheduling, costs, employee relations issues, and employment needs. Identify all tools required for tasks. Identify safety risks and the precautions required to eliminate those risks. Illustrate in-depth knowledge of all pipe fitting processes. Tactically plan operations for scheduling workloads in crews efficiently utilizing assets and resources to minimize cost. Ensure all QA/QC requirements are met on assigned projects. Attend and represent the company on bid walks and potential projects. SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: Must have 5 years’ experience with pipefitting processes for industrial construction, maintenance or new construction. 1 years’ experience in a supervisory role. Good understanding of the craft environment being supervised and knowledge of basic hand tools. Must be able to pass the Craft Skills Test at or above 70% or have the NCCER certification for your craft. Must have a good understanding of Matrix Service policies and procedures. Completed the Matrix Service Safety training, Process Safety Management training and Client / Site specific training. Obtain and maintain active status within the required drug testing program. Subject to random drug screenings. Must pass a Background. PHYSICAL/SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Employee will be required to adhere to large amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting, sitting and lifting. Will talk and hear to communicate. Will use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, and pull objects, materials, controls and tools. May be required to pick up, lift, carry and move up to 50lbs. Will work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, and may occasionally work off of platforms/scaffolding using the appropriate fall protection requirements.
